Unsolved Crimes
| 11/30/2008 - Burglary of the Montana Club | On November 30, 2008, the Helena Police Department received a call to the Montana Club located at 24 West 6th Avenue to a report of a cold burglary. When the investigating officer arrived, he learned several items had been stolen from the club including computer components and pieces of art.
The three pieces of art were described as:
- Charlie Russell numbered painting on canvas titled “When the land belonged to God”, depicting a herd of buffalo climbing over a rise in a early morning or evening setting, valued at $3500.00 - R.E. DeCamp original painting titled “Winter Horses” depicting a winter scene with two horses drinking from the edge of a pond, valued at $10,000.00. - A Bob Scriver Bronze titled “The Prospector” valued at $7000.00.
